How to set a default issue screen when creating a new project?

Thomas Dittscher July 16, 2019

Hi all.

I crawled the community for a while and I found that the only way of setting a default issue screen is to refer to a sample project with the needed settings.

Is this information still valid today and the way how to do it?

Or will I be able to define default screens globally in the JIRA seetings ?

When I set up a new project from a shared project I will have to create a board in the new project manually.

Is this correct? So it's not possible to copy the board from the shared project?

Looking forward to your comment and support.

Best regards

Thomas

Hello,

If you want to create a project, with the same screen configuration as another project, then you should create a project with shared configuration.

You can copy a board and change the filter for the copied board.
