How to merge data from two JIRA instance?

We have an JIRA_A (v6.4) instance and JIRA_B (v6.3) instance, one requirement is to merge the data in the JIRA_A to the JIRA_B. What's the best approach to do this?

Thanks

Jirong

You can export all issues from JIRA_A and use the External System Import under the System menu to import them to JIRA_B.

Importing issues from JIRA to JIRA is easier than a third party system to JIRA as all the fields should map nicely if they are configured the same.

What do you mean by "Merge"? Why don't you just use one instance of JIRA and retire the old one?

It's related to this post:https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/30947751/how-to-access-issues-in-jira-instance-a-from-instance-b. The user wants to access the data in the instance A from the instance B.
