How to import multiple value nFeed values from a CSV file or convert CSV to JSON

cathy waters November 10, 2014

I successfully configured several  multi-select nFEED custom field from CSV file.
I am trying to import data exported from another system (QSET's Consensia) using a CSV file configured in keeping with https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA063/Importing+Data+from+CSV with multiple columns and the same field name, leaving blank any columns which had fewer than the maximum values for each field. The Import appeared successful (no warnings or errors) and created the correct number of Issues. However each nFEED field took on only one value. It's as if JIRA was unaware that the nFEED field was configured as a multi-value field. Is there any way around this?

I saw the response to https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/156771 It was dated over a year ago. Justin Ayers no longer seems to be in the system. Justin suggested using JSON.
If there is no other way, can anyone point me to how to convert the JIRA CSV files for import to JSON files for import?

Hi cathy,

I'm Micky from Valiantys.

As far as I know, there is no other solution than converting your CSV to JSON so that you can use Contexts and multiple values. As for the conversion, I can't really help you more since it might really depends on your inputs.

If you have any other question about Valiantys' products, you can raise an issue on our JIRA : https://jira.valiantys.com

Cheers,

Micky
