How to edit subtasks within an issue?

Since Jira's latest update I am having difficulty editing subtasks. The edit function is no longer within the ellipsis accompanying a subtask. I am also trying to edit subtasks that I have created. 

Anyone cracked it?

Hi Jonathan,

Just to make sure I'm looking at the correct location, are you talking about the Differences in the Classic View and the New issue view, and have enabled the new issue view recently via an update?

Particularity the Issue action drop down next to the sub task on the classic view here:

Vs the new issue View that no longer has this action item option:

If this is the case,  this is a new change to the functionality mentioned in "Changes to issues in the new issue view", noting the section "Goodbye to separate view and edit screens"  with links to "Update issue details" and "Creating issues and sub-tasks" for additional context on the new layout and design.  Additionally, we have the following feature request to add this functionality to the new issue view, make sure to add a vote to help track interest in this as a feature to ad back in:

However there are some additional details to consider here and touched on in a discussion on the topic of Sub-task creation and editing from our dev team on the following BUG report as there was some confusion around this feature.  the Bug was closed out as a "Won't Fix" as these changes were intentional based on overwhelming user feedback where we heard a lot of user feedback about how hard it was to create subtasks and break down work while on the parent issue directly, so we have moved it to be an inline create experience with editing done from the Sub-task and Parent independently per the documentation linked above:

As noted on the Bug Report it was being closed out as a "Won't Fix" as it was an intentional change not a bug, but we are still looking for additional feedback here and If this becomes a more vocal problem in the future, we will look at adding the features back in or modified based on inputs so if you have the time to do so please take look at the at the features related to this and add votes or additional comments on how this is impacting you and/or what improvements would be the most beneficial for the feature per the Implementation of New Features Policy.

A narrowed down list for the New issue view Sub task specific features can be found "At this Link" and you can also provide additional feedback from within the Jira Cloud instance by selecting the "Give Feedback" option under your user profile icon:

Hi Earl, 

Thank you for your response. That's understandable. I just wondered whether it was missing from accident. Editing the title of the sub task seems straightforward and less clunky in the new view compared to the old.
