How to double-click and select in the date selector in JIRA9.8.1 version

李小龙
June 12, 2023

I used to use JIRA version 8.18 to select a date in the date picker. Double clicking on this date can select it. However, in the experience version 9.8, I cannot double click to select it. I must first select the date and then click the confirm in the bottom left corner. This is a very bad experience. Is there a way to modify it?

Hi, here is the answer from my support ticket

As per the description, I understand that the date picker having an extra confirmation step is not ideal for you.

We truly understand your concern. Just to provide you with some background, this change was done to fix JRASERVER-73446, to make Jira more accessible as per our Accessibility guidelines.

However, we understand how this change impacted not just your company, but other customers as well, and after checking this internally, I see that there are some conversations already about changing this behavior again, but achieving accessibility at the same time.

Possible Workaround
Reading the comments from JRASERVER-74923, it seems some users were able to work around this new behavior, by adding some coding to the Announcement Banner.
