How to control JIRA's Dialog2 component behavior

Hello,
after migration from Jira 8.9 to Jira 8.20, we notice that dialog windows are closed when users click outside of open windows. This behavior is undesirable since some dialogs contain many fields that are lost when windows are accidentally closed.
Are there any ways to globally control the Dialog2 component throughout Jira? Is it possible to change/override the default behavior?
