At the Issue View, in Activities, when an Issue has a lot of comments becomes difficult to track the last activity because you have to scroll down a lot and by default you always see the first comment.
Is there a way to change this default order? Or change the order in other way?
I search at "Screen", "Fields configuration" but cant find nothing related.
Thanks a lot!
Hi Diego,
You can change order of comments by going to the System -> Advanced Settings and editing the value of the jira.issue.actions.order property.
https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/changing-the-default-order-for-comments-from-ascending-to-descending-938847849.html
Hope this helps.
Thanks a lot Jay for your fast reply! I do the change but everything keeps the same in comments, history and work log. I see at the link you gave me that says that the changes become effective inmediatly. Do you know if there are some other place to setup by project/issue type or something, or just need to wait a little more?
Thanks again for your help!
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
You might wanna try re-indexing the instance and see if that helps, though the documentation states that the changes should take place immediately.
Let me know it that works.

Thanks again Jay. I try re-indexing but looks like the option is no longer available in the new version of Jira Cloud. I also see that the problem is with the new version of Jira at the "Issue View" window/popup because if I select the option "SEE THE OLD VIEW" everything works as expected and the comments, history and else are ordered according the setup.
Also I see that Jira is working at the new way of view the issues so I expect they fix this soon. Meanwhile I keep using the old view.
Thanks a lot for your help and time! You help me a lot!

I guess this still isn't fixed over a year later because I'm running into the same thing now. :(

Yeap! The same here. Doesn't seem to be fixed.

Same here, my devs are attempting to kill me by now.

I give up about this.
We decide to cut big projects in small pieces (subtasks) to better follow the progress and avoid mixing all. Also for conversations, critical questions or day by day need we use other tools (slack or whatsapp groups). Doing this, keeps jira to report only about the work done, pending reports or critical information that is important to keep a record in the case.
Working this way make sense that this space is not for conversation purposes (also the reply button is pending for years) and even make jira more clean (only critical information keeps recorded).

Hello,
What has been described doesn´t work.

Kind Regards.
