Hello,
When I create a new issue the format in Start/End Date is MM/DD/YY. I would like to change it to DD/MM/YY. Please advise the attached picture. Can I change the format?
*Also I am using the WBS Gantt Chart, do you think that his setting is from the App? If yes, where I can change it?
I tried many solutions but none of them succeded, I also searched for similar posts in the community but nothing solved the problem.
Hello, @Panagiotis,
Thank you for bringing this behavior to our attention and creating this Community Question. After several tests, we have confirmed that, at the time, WBS Gantt-Chart does not replicate the Date Format changes from Jira, and does not have the option to manually change the Date Format on the Jira Issue View.
We have reported this behavior and suggested a solution to our development team to implement it at a code-level:
If Public Tracker site pages do not render as expected, please try incognito mode or switch the browser to display. Also, it will be required a separate sign up for watching in Public Tracker. Click the 'Login' option placed in the right navigation column and go to the 'Sign Up' link. Next, click 'See the old view' to display the watch option.
We understand that not having a workaround for this behavior is not optimal, but let's give our developers some time to investigate and implement this suggestion.
We are looking forward to hearing more from you. If you need assistance with our plugins or have any other questions, please contact us anytime at Ricksoft-support.atlassian.net. I will be happy to help.
We wish you a great day!
Kind Regards,
Gabriel Quadros

Hello @Gabriel Quadros
Thank you very much for the clarification about this issue. WBS Gantt Chart is a great application and I still use it, but I would really appreciate if I have the ability to change the date format.
How can a track the progress of this issue?
Since we are talking about WBS Gantt Chart, could you please give me an answer to another issue I rised?

Go to admin -> look and feel and adjust the date format there.
Note that this is a global setting - it affects the display and usage of all date fields in Jira and all the apps for everyone.

Hello have already done that but nothing changes. From what I see this happens only on the Issue View. On WBS Gantt Chart App the dates are YY/MM/DD.

Ah, ok, I'm afraid the app does not respect the settings for dates. I am sorry, but you are stuck with yy/mm/dd there.

Well actually I am not so sure it's only the app. The comment section on a issue it's part of Jira application and as you can see on the image it says Aug 3 2020, which is a loose format of MM/DD/YY.
Do you get the same format there?

As far as I can tell, both Jira and Confluence simply ignore the time and date format settings.

Hi, Micheal,
WBS Gantt Chart app can configure the default date format in Apps > WBS GANTT-CHART > Default User Preference.
And also the user can select the date format in Gantt's Configuration > User Preferences.
