matthew cohen April 11, 2017

Hi - Been searching around but can't find any clear info...hoping someone can help on this one

Trying to create a template with links to create child page and want each child page to include the parent title - example

Product 1 (parent)

    Product 1 - Item 1 (child)
    Product 1 - Item 2 (child)

Any ideas?

@matthew cohen You have put this request under Jira, but you state that you want to create pages and child pages, so are you actually asking your question about Confluence? Or do you mean Issues/Tickets when you say Page?

In Jira, this can be done with Automation, I believe. In Confluence you would need to have a Template, and then use a Create from Template Macro on the parent page to create the child pages.

The Create from Template macro allows you to Predefine the Title of the page to be created. I am not sure what the smart value would be to add in the Parent title, but I'm sure it exists.

I will do some research and add more if I find anything.
