How to administer software version(s) for a customer in multiple enviroments?

Marcel Heijblom April 28, 2021

I am fairly new to JIRA, but I am wondering if the community can help me out with a very basic question actually.

Customer A

Environment Production

      GreatSoftware v1.0.0.1

      SoftwareY v1.1

Environment Test

       GreatSoftware v1.0.1.0

       SoftwareY v1.1

Customer B

Environment Production

        GreatSoftware v1.0.1.1

        SoftwareY v1.1

Environment Test

        GreatSoftware v1.0.2.0

        SoftwareY v1.1

How can I configure this as easy as possible?

And then use it in our customer portal, so that customers do not have to choose from 50 different versions of GreatSoftware?

Is there a way from which these versions can be update from outside JIRA (with database link or something like that)?

@Marcel Heijblom

I would suggest using the free plugin Database Values for Jira it is an easy way to connect to external values.
