How to add a non-user as watcher

BarthélémyH

We have a project that has only a very limited number of users allowed to browse it. However we would like to be able to add watchers to the issues, including people who are not a "user" but who have a JIRA account. Then these non-users should be able to read this, and only this issue.

Any ways to achieve this ?

Thank you,

Barth

You can add a multi user custom field on the issue and add users to it. Use this custom field in the "Browse project" permission in the permission scheme.

By doing that, the issue becomes visible to users who are added on the ticket. They won't be on the watcher field but will be on the custom field.
