The 4/26 update (https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/what-s-new-686863216.html) makes it so:
Links to other JIRA issues (in the description or comments) are now rendered with an icon and status, rather than as just a plain hyperlink.
Unfortunately, that makes our JIRA pages, which often have many links, unreadable.
The font of the new link style is the same as the comments, which creates no visual hierarchy and creates confusion where we formerly had clear communication.
Is there a way to change this back (setting?) or to alert Atlassian to the issue?
I'm not sure you can turn it off. I'd raise this with https://support.atlassian.com and see what we get. If they can give you a way to disable it, we'd be really grateful if you can share it - this is not the first report I've had of it making a mess.
FYI, someone has now raised: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSW-13584

I agree - this makes reading comments very difficult! PLEASE provide a way to get rid of this change.
