How do I delete a Release?

A Release was created in a Project, however, our instance is set up so that Releases are created in Advanced Roadmaps and communicates to the Project.  Now that the Release is created in the Project, I can't created it in Advanced Roadmaps as it says the Release already exists.  I don't have the ability to Delete the Release in the project as Delete is grayed-out.

 Only users with project admin rights can delete releases.

A user that has the Administrator role in that project should be able to delete the release version.
