How do I change a project type

Guy Greco January 17, 2015

I selected the "Simple Issue tracking" option to create a project.  How do I change this to JIRA Classic?  I am hoping I don't have to start over since I already have several issues created for the project.

As far as I've noticed, the options you chose when creating the project (AKA project types) don't have real effect on configuration. All projects are the same.

It just changes some of the default board configurations, maybe some of the default schemes as well. Meaning - you can create project type X but turn it into project type Y yourself, by doing some adjustments.

Peter, can you expand on this a bit more? I created an Agile Scrum project type but need to revert to a simple issue tracking workflow. If this can be done through board configuration, do you have any advice or articles you can point me to?
