How do I add a "tester" field in addition to assignee and reporter in Jira

I want to add "tester" under "people" section for each individual Jira in a project

You can create a custom field of type User Picker and add it to the create/edit/view screens for your project.

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

Is it possible to assign a default owner for the custom filed like Test Owner ?
