Hello everyone,

I need to create a automated issue tree. That tree will be like;

Epic > Story > Task > Subtasks > Checklists (if i can add them)

- Epics will be my main work defitniton

- Stories will be task containers

- Tasks as work to do

- Sub tasks will work steps.

In my automation i can create the epic but cant create stories to inside it. Then i'll go for tasks inside stories, and go on. I tring for one and a half day but i cant go much further.

Automation cant go forward from create epic. Here is my automation

Hi Necati,

I'm Ilenice, from Automation for JIRA Support team.

Thanks for your question!

Well, we’ve done some tests here trying to reproduce the scenario you’ve described and the scheme you’ve attached and we’ve confirmed that currently there isn’t a good and not error-prone way to do this.

I’m sorry for not being able to bring you good news. Anyway, the possibility to use a branch within another branch, which could be useful to your use case, it’s already being tracked through https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/projects/AUT/issues/AUT-1617 (you might need to open the linked issue in an incognito window to see it).

Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

Cheers,

Ilenice
