How can I use a dashboard for multiple-release planning?

Hello

I would like to know if it is possible to use a JIRA dashboard for planning multiple releases over several years.

I'm attaching an example that I have mocked up, but it doesn't work the way I would like it to. I want to be able to drag Epics and User Stores between the columns in the attached image.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I would recommend using Plans for this purpose. Here's some documentation to help get you started:
