How can I limit the number of Users who can access a ticket at once?

Amy Moehlman February 2, 2021

I want to make sure that no one else can open up a ticket that I am currently editing.  We have a large team and Jira doesn't appear to provide notifications when one person is in a ticket and we are overwriting each other's work.  Help!

There is no way to do this, Jira will simply track every update made at the time people commit their version, blocking ones that are incompatible (e.g. user 1 moves the status on, and then user 2 tries to do another transition from the old status, which isn't valid for the current one)

I would question why you have a lot of people editing an issue at the same time though.

Yup as Nic mentioned, ideally only the assigned Agent is supposed to be working on a Ticket.
