How can I automate the linking of constrained issue with current issue even when issue type changed?

I am using behaviour to automate the linking of constrained issue with current issue. When I am setting it as read only and do not make any changes to the issue getting created it's working fine.But when I am changing the issue type then the Linked issue and issue field values are removed.
