We are wanting to convert many user stories to sub ask after the realisation the level of the creation of the user stories was too granular.

Can this be done?

Hi @Dave Cusack and welcome to the Community,

you can change the Issue Type by "Moving" issues. This option is also available in Bulk Edit Mode. Open the Issue search, search for the issues you want to edit and then open the Dot-Menu (...) in the upper right corner to access the Bulk change mask.

Adding to this...

You must have the permission to make bulk changes in order to use the Bulk Change function.

When you convert standard, Level 0 issues to subtasks you must also identify another standard, Level 0 issue as their new parent. Subtasks are required to have a parent and it must be a Level 0 issue, not an Epic.

I completely missed the Sub-Task aspect. Thanks @Trudy P Claspill for that addition!
