How add validation when editing an issue?

Hello everyone! Can you please tell me, in jira it is possible to implement field validation when editing an issue?
I mean, block editing under certain conditions for a certain field.
P.S. Without scriptrunner!

No. The closest you can come is to remove the field from the edit screen and put it on a transition screen that can only be accessed by particular user roles or when another field already has a particular value.

And because it is a transition, you can use validators as well as conditions to control the edit access.

Behaviours in Scriptrunner for Data Center can do some validation on edit screens.

Cloud works differently, and there is nothing for SR to hook into on edits (yet)
