Hi @Uriel Zarnihchi and welcome to the Community!

Can you be more specific about what you are trying to achieve? Is your question about story points vs time estimation? Is it about adding fields to cards on a board, or about reporting? Are you using company managed or team managed projects? Maybe even about something else?

A couple of things that might be useful:

  • In company managed projects, you can set the estimation method for your sprint board in board settings > estimation. In team managed projects, you can choose between story points or hours in project settings > features > estimation.
  • In a company managed board, you can add up to 3 fields to the cards being displayed on the board. You can do this from board settings > card layout. While your board's estimation statistic is displayed on the cards, you can add additional fields if your want.
  • Your board may contain useful reports to track your sprints progress and history: burnup and burndown charts and the sprint report help you look at individual sprints, whereas the velocity chart displays information about how your sprints evolve over time.

Hope this helps!

@Uriel Zarnihchi

To view the estimation time of a story in the Active Sprint in Jira:

1. Ensure Estimation is Enabled

  • Go to Jira Settings > Issues > Custom Fields.
  • Confirm that fields like Original Estimate or Story Points are added and visible for your project.

2. Configure the Active Sprint Board

  • Navigate to the Active Sprint board.
  • Click the Board Settings (three dots at the top-right of the board).
  • Go to Card Layout.
  • Under the Backlog and Active Sprint sections, add the desired field (e.g., Original Estimate, Story Points) to display on the cards.

3. View the Estimation in the Active Sprint

  • Open the Active Sprint.
  • The estimation time (e.g., in hours for Original Estimate or points for Story Points) should now appear directly on the cards in the sprint.

4. Check the Story Details

  • Click on a specific story in the Active Sprint.
  • A detailed view will open on the right side. Check the Original Estimate field or Story Points in the details panel.

Additional Tips:

  • If you don't see estimation times:
    • Make sure your Jira administrator has enabled time tracking in the project.
    • Ensure the specific story/task has the estimation field populated.
