How Can I Auto Watch Tickets

Matt Blackwood May 26, 2022

I'm looking for a way to have my account auto watch tickets going in to a queue so that I can see all content and replies as they come in from email when not in the office.

It's also more for tracking who has what and where.

Is there a way that this can be done?

The issue with option #2 which uses Automation for Jira is, it truly doesn't add a group or person as watching upon the creation of a ticket.  It adds the person once it leaves Draft and goes to the first In Process workflow.  Being a QM type, I like to watch issues from day one of entry through the verification and closure steps and if someone works the issue without moving it out of Draft status, it can become a huge issue at the backend of the process. :-(

I'm yet to try and add a watching command as a Post Function command for the transition from Draft to the next step, so I can't comment on that one.
