Hide the comments

Hi friends,

How to hide the comments of an issue from particular user in JIRA. Please share your thoughts.

By viewable by all user option in comment, i can able to restrict only the developer,Administrator and user group alone.But i need to hide the commets from a single user.

You'd need to rewrite the code that provides the show/hide facility for comments.

Without changing the core code in Jira, your only real option is to make sure that user is NOT in the group/role you restrict the comment to. (Someone might suggest javascript - that won't work because the data is still given to the browser so your user can see it if they have any basic understanding of web based stuff)
