Hide tabs when creating issues

We would like to hide certain tabs when creating an issue.  But we would like these tabs to be shown on the main issue details screen and when editing an issue.  Can this be done?

You can design separate screens for issue creation, editing, and viewing.

So create a new screen without those tabs, and associate it to the Create operation in the appropriate Screen Scheme.

Check the "screen scheme" - that lets you define different "screens" for Create, Edit and View.

If you don't put the tabs on the Create or Edit screen, you'll only get them on View.  (Remember you'll need to put the fields they contain somewhere - transition screen or not in tabs on create/edit, or your users won't be able to enter data)
