Hi!
Has anyone here used automation to create recurring preventative maintenance issues?
For instance, our team wants to be prompted to change the filters on HVAC air handlers every three months. It seems simple enough, but I'm struggling to create an automation that works as I expect.
Also, I'd love for anyone who uses JSM or has used JSM for facility maintenance and operations to say "hi." : )
Thanks!
Amy (still, very new here)
Hi @Amy Goss welcome!
What you're looking for should be fairly straightforward with Jira automation. I've shared a sample screenshot focusing on the part that seems to be giving you an issue, the scheduled trigger.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Mathew
Thanks, Mathew!
I was really close to nailing it. I didn't use "Same issue type." Instead I chose "Report a maintenance issue."
I assume I can also assign the issue to a specific person in this step ("Then" component).

Correct. You can set the assignee, and ant other fields needed in the Then section.
