Extract the configuration (workflow mapping) of all the projects of Jira into Confluence.

Sander Theetaert March 7, 2020

Dear all,

we have a quite complex setup at the customer

and nothing has been documented, like, ever...

Is there an easy way (a plug-in for example) to extract
all of the workflow mappings of all the projects (300+)
straight into Confluence (or Excell for that matter)?

You would save us an enormous amount of time...

Best regards and thanks,

ST.

Hi @Sander Theetaert

Not that I know of - I found a page on locating the diagrams in the database which might be useful - see this page.

For managing configurations, you could look at whether an app such as Project Configurator can export the data you need in a usable way, but it isn't designed for what you need specifically and not something I've tried.

When I've needed to document designs, I did it in Confluence - I at least built a template first that we populated and then worked through for each workflow.

Hey @Stephen Wright _Elabor8_

thanks for the answer,

I'll look into Project Configurator first thing if I'm at the client...

Dear @Sander Theetaert ,

What if i say you can fully document a single project with 1 click (to PDF or Confluence)? :)

Glass Project Documentation does this for you.

Currently it is designed to make an export from project perspective!

Contact me if you have more feature ideas!

Balázs
