Can the epics panel in the backlog be edited so that when an Epic is done and all children work items have been done/accepted, they do not appear in this list?

@JD Lobue ,

Actually when you mark Epic as done then that Epic got disappear from that Epic Panel

You need to manually Mark that  Epic as Done from that Panel then it will disappear

Hi @JD Lobue

Yes, and...to what @Sachin Dhamale suggests:

You may also add a simple automation rule to the project such that when an epic transitions to a completed status, the "Epic Status" is also set to done...automagically removing it from the epic panel and dropdown lists.

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi @JD Lobue

Yes, and adding to what @Bill Sheboy said...

If these issues are in a Company Managed project, then you can update the Workflow transitions to "done" statuses to include a Post Function to set the "Epic Status" field.

Whether you update the workflow transitions or use an automation, you'll want to have a comparable solution that resets the Epic Status to "To Do" if the Epic is transitioned from a "done" status to an "in progress" or "to do" status.
