Docker scalability with Jira server

wajih zouaoui

Hi,

we are trying to prepare a new architecture for our Jira server stack using containers with Docker and we are asking if we can have scalability as setting up HA or load balacing with different nodes that can be reachable and using the same database instance in the same time by all those nodes?

Thanks a lot.

Wajih

Hi Wajih,

when it comes to scalability and HA implementations you would have to take a look at Jira Data Center - which is a different licensing from Jira Server.

You can use Docker along with Jira but with Jira Server the database is available to exclusively one node - only Jira Data Center allows the feature set you are looking for.

Cheers,
Daniel
