Different workflow for 2 boards in same project

In the same project, can we have two workflows for two different boards if we do not have any stories shared between them?

If you have the same project with the same issue type in use - this isn't possible unfortunately.

Boards are just a visual representation of the project's issues, and even if they don't share any stories it's not the board that controls the workflows. You can have one workflow per issue type per project.

Your options here are:

• Have two separate projects - for example if these are two teams or two different products. That way you can have a different workflow for different stories.
• Use the same workflow but change the column names / order on the board - you can do this via Options (3-dot icon) > Board Settings > Columns.
• Create a new issue type - for example "Technical Stories", "User Stories" - this is an option, just be careful to not over-complicate your project
