Hi @Sherry Nightingale Please follow the below steps:

  • Browse your site URL
  • Navigate to Your work -> Boards -> View all boards
  • Find the board that you want to delete. Click on three dots beside the required board and select 'Delete'. The board will be deleted successfully.

Browse your site URL mean that you need to open your jira in web browser.

To delete boards you own without being a system admin:

  1. go to Your work -> Boards tab -> View all boards from the top menu.
  2. click on the 3 dots at the last column of the board you want to delete
  3. select Delete

I am in community managed project and I am not seeing the option of 'View All Boards' anywhere. If I go to "..." of the individual board, I dont get Delete option. I am the org admin for JIRA. Any thing I am missing?

Hi Srinivas,

Let me guide you how I did it.

  • Go to Main Jira Dashboard
  • Insert "/" slash into the "Search" field located on the top of the Dashboard (navigation bar)
  • Look for "Go to all:" section on the bottom of the modal-> there you will see different options like Boards, Plans, People etc
  • Click on "Boards" option -> Boards page will be displayed
  • On the "Boards" page find the search field and search your board by name -> the board should be displayed
  • Click "More actions" (...) and select Delete action (if you are owner or admin of the board you should have this option)
