Dashboard Gadget to List [Updated Date] > [Last Viewed]

Overall goal: I'd like to have a Filter Results gadget display issues where the issue has been updated but the logged in user hasn't viewed them.

Filter Results Example

You can see in the attached picture that both the "Updated" field and the "Last Viewed" fields can be displayed in a Filter Results gadget. However, in the JQL of the Filter you can't use

updatedDate > lastViewed

in the WHERE clause.

We are running JIRA 5.2.

Of course you can't use it like that. "lastViewed" is not a function. Using it like this is to parse a string called "lastViewed".

To use it like how you want too, you might have to write a custom add on for that.

if you are still interested  there is now such a gadget available on the marketplace.

It is called Updated Issues Basket and has server and cloud version
