I have configured Screens, Schreen Schemes, added new Custom field and added new Fields scheme for my sub-task - 'Test Run'. But Test Run edit screen shows all default fields but my custom fields. Is it a bug?
So to test I created a screen with just one custom field and disabled all custom fields but one in field configuration:
- Created Sub-task - 'Test Run'
- Created 'Test Run Workflow'
- General Workflow Scheme with assosiated workflow: Sub-task - Test Run Workflow
- Custom Field - Actual Outcome
- Created Field Configuration 'Test Run Field Configuration' - Actual Outcome, Comment, Issue Type, Summary enabled
- General Field Configuration Scheme with assosiated 'Test Run' - 'Test Run Field Configuration'
- Created 'New Test Run Screen' with just one custom field 'Actual Outcome'
- Created 'Test Run Screen Scheme' with default issue operation 'New Test Run Screen'
- General Issue Type Screen Scheme with assosiated 'Test Run' - 'Test Run Screen Scheme'
So now when I create a new Sub-task - Test Run - I do not see any fields on new issue creation (just read only Project and Issue Type) and when I click 'Create' is tells me 'Summary: You must specify a summary of the issue.'. Which is what it is supposed to do, because I hidden all required fields.
Am I missing something?
I'm not entirely sure what you've actually done (or why) here, but you need to go back over your configuration, as you've removed the fields you need.
For each *custom* field, check that
For system fields (i.e. "summary"), you just need to make sure it's on the create screen.
As you're seeing nothing, I'd suggest it's the screen you've messed up, so I'd start there.
Silly me! My custom fields did not have 'Test Run' issue type in the context. Thank you!
