Hello @Dinesh_babu

Since it's not possible to make a bulk edit on a resolution field without any plugin (to my knowledge atleast) you need to do a workaround to accomplish this. This is what I found in this thread: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Bulk-change-quot-Resolution-quot-field/qaq-p/256191

  1. Create a screen with the Resolution Field
  2. Modify the workflow(s) that are being used to include a transition loop to the same Closed status. Make a post function on that transition and set your desired resolved status.
  3. Add the newly created Resolution Screen to the transition
  4. Find the issues you want to edit in the issue navigator (with a query like status = closed and resolution = empty) depending on your current setup.
  5. Use the Transition Issues Bulk Change function
  6. The function will expose all fields that are on the transition screen (Resolution, Comment)
  7. Add the desired resolutions
  8. Back out changes to the workflow

Hope that solves your issue! :-)

Hello @Dinesh_babu

Can you explain in more detail what you need?

You need to change the resolution of your issues or you want to transition them to Resolved?

If you want to transition them just use bulk edit.

You need a global transition for that.

Go to issues -> search for issues -> find all the issues with status Closed and in the top right corner you will find -> tools -> bulk edit.

One note make sure that during the process you uncheck "send a notification for this transition" unless you really want to.

Atlassian documentation on bulk edit.

Also if the resolution is the problem please check this
