Create a report showing all currently open issues

Hi community!

I'm trying to play around with reports to answer the following question:

  1. How many currently "open issues" were there per day for the past x amount of time?

  2. How many "open issues" did we average over the course of the past week, month, quarter, year, etc.? (this can be done manually, a report answers the first question)

So a report showing: Number of currently open ticket by day over the past 7 days, month, custom, etc.

And then, ideally lay this report over the total created and total resolved reporting in the same period.

Any help appreciated! Cheers

Hi Robert,

you would use jql for number one but for number two default reports don’t allow you to layer in that way you would need a plug-in for more enhanced reporting within the instance. We personally use rich filters for dashboards and display that in dashboards

The jql would be similar to the below code but use created , and for opened add a clause for status category in

"date of last day[Date]" >= "-7d" AND "date of last day[Date]" <= now() AND statuscategory in (“to do”, “in progress”)

Thanks Clark!

I'll give this a try shortly and get back with any questions.

Cheers
