Create a new issue or add a comment to an existing issue

I'm trying to automate tickets with email creation through incoming email, but it asks for a default reporter. When I do this, the ticket is saved with my user and not with the user of the client who sent the ticket. Is there a way to leave it blank to leave the initial email of the client?

You have tags on. your post to indicate you are using Jira Service Management, Can you confirm that you are you trying to use this process to create issues in a Jira Service Management project? Or are you trying to create issues in a Jira Sofware or Business (Work Management) project.

You said it is asking for a default reporter. That leads me to believe that you are trying to set up an email handler as describe here:

Is that the method you are trying to use?
