Is there a possibility that the comments that are auto- sync from one issue type are visible to the same level of issue type rather than the Epic level on the other project eg,

My Project X on a specific transition creates two parallel stories in Project through Clone Automation. We also have an automation set to be able to copy/sync the comments across projects (both ways) on those cloned issue types , but is it possible that the comments made on the stories in Project Y are copied to specific/related tasks in project X only, rather than the Epic in Project X (which is how its set at present)?

Thanks!

Hi @Aamir.Aslam , welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Keeping double (or even triple in your case) administrations should in general be avoided. Often a good configured, shared board can do the trick.

Nevertheless, you can use extra Jira resources to get your comments across multiple, specified issues by using Automation.

If your current automation would set the relates to field in the cloned issues to the original issue, you have a means of finding (and thus editing) the original issue in Project X if it's clone in Project Y has had a comment added (your automation trigger).

The related issue field is filled with the original issue's key-XYZ number value !

Hope this removes your woes,

Dick
