Connecting Azure Users to Jira Service Management as customers

Alexandros Baltsavias June 27, 2024

Hello,

I am interested in connecting my Azure database of users to Jira to facilitate the transfer of user data.

Additionally, if this connection is possible, would it allow my customers on the JSM Help Centre to sign up/in using their Microsoft Entra ID credentials?

Would I need an Atlassian guard license for all the customer portal users or just the agents?

Thanks a lot!

Hi @Alexandros Baltsavias

If you want to sync users you from Azure AD to Jira Cloud you need Atlassian Guard.

For your portal only users the Guard license will be free, its only those users that have active product license ( Jira SM agent, jira license etc) that will cost you a guard license.

more details here: https://www.atlassian.com/software/access/pricing (scroll down to see Q&A about Atlassian Guard)

best of luck
