Hello - I'd like to know how I could fulfill this using Project Automation.

Our Objective

  • When a Project A issue is closed, a date field within Project B issue is updated indicating when the Project A issue is closed.

Thank you so much!

HI @Miguel Cayetano ,

This is possible. Basically, you want to create this automation in project A.

Create a create issue tigger. Then action to create a ticket with Project B with particular link relationship you want.

For the objective, it will be another automation rule. The trigger will be when project A issue transition to close, update the link ticket field as the action.

Note: You want to narrow down what issues that the automation should check for when going to close because the automation will check every ticket that transition to close. Maybe it's just for bugs or Stories, then you may want to put a condition that only check for those issue types.
