Hi @Thuyen PHAM

Not straight forward with out external plugins like Deep clone etc.

With out plugins, you could try exporting the issue to CSV and importing it to the other site via csv?

Hello @Thuyen PHAM

If you’re trying to clone an issue from one Jira instance to another, I can suggest trying our app Elements Copy & Sync. It allows you to clone (and sync if needed) issues with all their content (summary, description, custom fields, comments, attachments, etc) across different projects and instances.

Don’t hesitate to check our documentation.

The app is for free during 30 days (and it stays free under 10 users).

Hey @Thuyen PHAM

welcome to the community.

As you can see with the different answers, there are many variations of cloning. Can you elaborate a bit more on your requirements?

  • Do you only want to clone one issue or multiple?
  • Is this a one time clone or do you need to do that more often?
  • Do you not only want to clone but also keep the issues in sync afterwards?

The more you tell about your use case, the better the community can help you.

Cheers,
Matthias.

Hi @Thuyen PHAM,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community! If you're looking to clone issues across Jira instances, our app Deep Clone for Jira can be a highly effective solution. Deep Clone enables you to clone issues, including their attachments, comments, and custom fields, from one Jira instance to another with its Project Clone feature.

With Deep Clone for Jira, you can:

  • Clone issues across different projects and Jira instances.
  • Customize your clones to include, comments, attachments, and more.
  • Automate the process to save time, especially useful for recurring tasks.

Hey @Thuyen PHAM welcome to Atlassian Community

This thread has a few different options for you: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/How-to-copy-jira-issue-from-one-instance-to-another-instance-in/qaq-p/898223

You can also use Revyz to clone projects and their issues from one instance to another, you could then move the issue from the imported project to your desired project.

I'm not from Revyz myself but I know their plugin is great for small migration and cloning tasks:

Hope that helps!

Hi Thuyen,

Welcome to the community :)

There is no direct way to do so, but please find options below

- You may use this feature: https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/copy-product-data/

- You may export the issues from that source project ( csv file) and import it to the new instance. Please find details here : https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/import-and-export-your-data-to-and-from-jira-cloud/

Thank you,

Prachi
