Hello everyone!
I set the following rule to automatically update subtasks' status according to their parent (when transitioning to "ORDINE RITIRATO DAL CLIENTE"):
but it doesn't work and I receive the following error message:
Hi @Thomas Gallagher and @Fazila Ashraf
Hello and
Thank you for your answers. The workflow is the same as for the parent.
But I realised a possible reason why it is not working: could it be that I have not configured an Issue screen on my projects?
See the screenshot below:
I can't configure the Issue type as ‘Task’ and ‘Subtask’... could this be the reason why it doesn't work? (maybe the system doesn't recognise that Task is the parent of Subtask(?))
However, I can use ‘task’ and ‘subtask’ for the project as you can see below:
so it's a bit confusing.
Thanks for your time and help!
Just to add on, you will want to examine the workflow of the Sub-Task to verify whether the "ORDINE RITIRATO DAL CLIENTE" status exists for that issue type, if there is a transition available as Fazila stated, if there are any validators or conditions, and perhaps if the Actor in the Automation Rule needs to be changed to your user or any user who has permission to apply this transition.
Additionally, could you please post a screenshot of the Workflow, and a screenshot of the Edit panel for the "Then: Transition the issue to..." component of the automation?
Best,
Thomas - ServiceRocket

For SKT-853 and SKT-854 , is the transition to "Ordine ritirato dal cliente" available from the current status?
