Changing configuration of a project created from shared configuration

Ilan Barel May 22, 2022

Hi, I'm confused by what I see on the web.  I created a new Project via 'shared configuration'.  The reason is that I wanted to easily import the settings of an existing project.  However, I now want to change the field configuration schema.  Can I do that (and other actions?) or will that also alter the original project field schema?

tnx. Ilan Barel

Hi @Ilan Barel

If you intend for the change made in the new project impacting the old, you can directly edit the field configuration.

If not, you’ll need to create a new field configuration and field configuration scheme(I believe you can copy these to have a like for like).

Next make your changes to the field configuration.

Associate your new field configuration with the new field configuration scheme.

Associate your new field configuration scheme with the project.

This achieves what you asked.

Regards.
