Can you add a create linked issue postfunction to the Create Sprint inbuilt JIRA button?

We're trying to create a release ticket linked to every sprint (corresponding to every release) in JIRA. To automate this process, we're evaluating if it's possible to do the following:

When a sprint is created from a Scrum Board:

- Automatically create a matching SYSOPS ticket with the name of the Sprint

- Automatically create a blank page for the Prod Rollout Document in Confluence.

I'm aware that both these tasks can be done manually, individually, but is it possible to automate these? I don't see a way to do this off configuration options.

Perhaps a custom plugin could be coded for this, but again - is it advisable to mess with core jira functionality? Any suggestions/recommendations would help!
