Can not Copy Value from Parent Issue..

Hello

I'm using a cascading field..

I'm using post-function in workflows as "Copy Value From Other Field Function" to sub-task

However, when I create a sub-task, sub-task can not take a value of parent issue...

The field of parent issue is cascading field also field of subtask is cascading field..

Why can not take a value of parent issue??

Is it bacause of cascading field???

Somebody give me an idea please..

Thanks

Hi,

You can do it using "Copy a parsed text to a field" from JIRA Workflow Toolbox add-on. I show you an example explaining how to set a Cascading Select field called "Application / Area" in subtasks using the value of parent issue:

Parameter text to be parsed is string with parent and child values separated by a comma character:

%{51901.0}, %{51901.1}

51901 is field code for custom field "Application / Area" in the particular JIRA instance I used for this example. That code depends on each particular JIRA instance. The add-on provides a field code injector.

Suffixes .0 and .1 are used for accessing parent and child values respectively in cascading select fields.

Once configured, transition "Create Issue" of subtasks workflow looks like this:
