Can I use issue.parent.key in the summary field of a sub-task?

I have a rule to create a QA testing sub-task when bugs, new features and change requests are created. I want to put the parent ticket's key into the summary of the sub-task but it is not working. Should this work, or is this not allowed?

I have tried with just {{issue.parent.key}} and with other text.

After reviewing another post, I realized that I should not use {{issue.parent.key}}. I used {{issue.key}}. It's not very intuitive but the result is that you will get the parent issue key to display.
