Can I set up email alerts when tasks need to be actioned?

I have created a classic project I have set up a series of tasks with the simple flow To do  then Done.  

I also have a number of subtasks - all of these have a schedule.  i need to alert the assignee when action is required by them.  This is date specific alerting.  I cannot see how to set this up

I would suggest to make a query and subscribe to it. The query would check on a daily basis what's scheduled for that day and would email you the list of tickets.

Anyway, it you are working in Jira you can have that same query on a dashboard or agile board and you would just go there everyday to see what's on the list. That way you don't need to work in two different tools
