I have been unable to bulk import issues in a CSV file using the "Advanced search" menu with the error:
the input is my name but this is now converted to an account id rather than my username previously.
Is there a solution to this or do I need to use the Admin CSV import instead?
I have tried replacing this with my name in the map fields box to no avail
I think this is related to the recent changes to usernames being changed to AccountID
for example:
Hello John,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
Your presumption is correct. Since the removing the username field from JIRA profiles, you should be able to import user picker fields using CSV only by describing the Account ID or e-mail address in the CSV Column. We had a bug that was preventing this behavior, but it was solved in the last week for JIRA Cloud:
- Importing CSV where user custom fields are specified by account ID or email does not work
Can you please let us know if you are able to import the issues using your Account ID or e-mail address for the user picker fields?
Honestly, I'm not aware of any error with the import functionality in the issue navigator, but if you still facing any errors, test on both External system import and Issue navigator and let me know your results so we can further troubleshoot the issue.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks for the update, I have just tried the import and it is working well.

Hi all, I am also facing the issue. I have a column with the AccountID and filled it with the user ID but still facing the issue. Can somebody assist on what else should be done, so we can import our issues without this non existing user error?
