Hi,
Is there a possibility to add budget to your epic?
I thought this existed before but can't find it.
I mean specifically, that you can enter a maximum budget (as agreed with your customer), which then gives a messege, e.g. as you get closer to that amount based on the time logged on issues, linked to that epic.
Thanks for your help.
Late reply, but maybe you will find our add-on useful: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1216500/hawkbudget-monitor-your-budget
Best regards!
Hi,
Thanks @Fabian Lim for your help before, but don't know if you saw my respons :-).
I'm sorry but i'm really not technical and I tried to make it work based on the link you send, but it doesn't work.
Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the community!
You may have to use a new customfield that captures the budget details and use jira automation to calculate remaining budget and send notifications.
Example with story. points: https://youtu.be/PROcxEOMyGM

Hi @Fabian Lim ,
Thanks.
I was struggling to figure out how to do this, so thought I'd ask.
In the end it will be faster than to keep looking with no idea where to search :-).
Something is still not clear for me.
The budget details, need they be defined in the field 'original estimate' (mentioned in hours than), and in the automation needs to be defined that, when the sum of the time spent on all issues assigned to that epic, a trigger sends out an email with a warning?
I'm sorry but I'm not so technical, and the example with the story points seems clear to me, but in the end this doesn't send an email or notification..
Thanks for the help.

If you want to send notifications there is a send email action.
Now, you may have to figure out how to get a jql to meet your criteria.
