Hi everyone,
I have an "Idea" from Product Discovery linked as "added to idea" to an Issue in Service Management and what we are trying to achieve is that everytime the field "pesaje" updates on the idea from PD then it should copy that value to a custom field called "pesaje req" from the linked SM issue. I think the problem is that it won't allow me to select "pesaje" as the field to copy from trigger issue.
I'm not sure if adds up to the problem but the field "pesaje" from PD is a "Custom formula field" that get's calculated from an expression.
I have the automation to global and i selected the projects from PD & SM.
Thank you in advance.
Hello, Good day. If the field from source issue is not selectable in automation rule action, you can workaround this by creating a new field on source project. Copy the value from "pesaje" on source issue to new field that you created on same source issue. Then use this new field to copy the value from source to destination project through automation. Thanks
Hi Mohanraj, thank you for the suggestion. I'm kind new to Jira, so i haven't figured it out how to perform the action to copy the value from "pesaje" to a new field inside the same issue, should i do it manually? or there is some automation that can perform this action somehow.
Thanks in advance.
Greetings,
LHR

Hi @Lientur Hermosilla ,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I believe any PD custom field created with a formula derived field cannot be copied over by Jira automation.
