Automatically add assignee to a sub-task

Hello

I am using Jira Software Cloud in a company-managed project.

I would like sub-tasks to automatically take on the assignee of the parent task. I have tried a number of automations, but none are working. They aren't pulling errors either.

I am not able to use add-ons due to company policy.

Anyone have examples of automations that work for them?

Update - it appears it is being assigned in some respect (my Slack integration is showing the assignee of the sub-task) - but the assignee isn't showing up on the issue on the board.

Hi Nicole,

A couple of questions for my curiosity.

* Does the assignee show up when you refresh the page?
* Does the assignee show up if you manually update it in a separate tab/window?
